Happy Training Experiences
This is Ruby. A fun and lovable pup! Ruby's dad came to me concerned at how Ruby reacted when she saw another dog. She would get very stiff, stare at the other dog and sometimes bark. She wouldn't listen to her dad when she was in this state either. She also didn't seem to be confident about socializing with another close family members dog when they visited. Ruby's dad was really worried about people being scared of Ruby because of her size, especially when she barked. The first time I met Ruby she was a very fun and lovable 8 month old pup. She was great with people but defiantly nervous about other dogs. I put Ruby and her Dad on a 8 week training plan. Ruby's dad worked really hard with her on all the games and training techniques I gave them. Today Ruby is a more confident and comfortable dog. She can see other dogs on a walk without concern, hang out with the other family members dogs, go to the pet store with her dad and be introduced to other dogs her dad knows are a good fit. In learning about dog behavior, Ruby's dad is now able to recognize stress signs from other dogs and use proper meeting techniques to help Ruby have only positive experiences. Having the freedom to take Ruby along to dog friendly places is a great feeling! I am so happy to have met Ruby and her dad and to have helped them on this journey.
This is Cleo, a very lovable and goofy Boston Terrier. Cleo's mom came to 4 Paws In frustrated and concerned about Cleo's barking and lunging behavior towards people. She couldn't come within 20 feet of a stranger without barking and lunging at them. Cleo was very scared and living quite a nervous life because for her fear! Cleo is now meeting and accepting treats from strangers in just 8, one on one sessions. She even likes to drop the ball in front of people at the dog park so they will kick it for her, something she has never done before. Cleo's mom and her family have done a great job building a stronger relationship between Cleo and them and helping her with her fear. Now Cleo feels like people are not so bad and her mom is their to help her if she needs the support. They all had fun learning and playing the training games along the way. Cleo is now a way happier dog, thanks to her mom and family and all the work they have done! Her confidence has increased significantly. Way to go Cleo!
This is Gus. He was adopted by his forever family. When Gus came to live with his new family they soon realized he gets very upset seeing or hearing another dog. He would get so concerned that he would whine, dance around, start pulling, start barking and sometimes almost pull his owners over. They were very frustrated with him as these behaviors can be very concerning for any owner. They started walking at off hours to avoid hearing or seeing another dog. Gus has completed 6 sessions with 4 Paws In. He is now listening well to his owners on walks and checking in with them all the time. His owners now know what to do if Gus does get concerned and can rely on the training methods to help him feel comfortable in tough situations. There is no need for him to bark, whine, dance or pull his owners over anymore. Gus now goes for up to 5 walks a day and is loving life!
"Ashley helped us in the process of getting a puppy. We did one on one training with her once we got the puppy and her knowledge, patience and skills set up a good foundation to welcome our puppy into our family and introduced to our dog we already had. She answered all of our questions and helped us to feel confident in introducing our dogs and tailoring the puppy training to our families needs. I recommend her to anyone I know and will continue to work with her for all our furry family member needs!"

"I am in the middle of the online class right now with my dogs Zeus and Hailey. I love it! The video's are professional and there are so many fun confidence games to do with my dogs each week. I can tell my dogs are having fun working through the weekly material and it really tiring them out. It's a great format for online because I can watch the video's whenever it fits into my life."

"Luna was a rescue dog that was too cute to not take home, but she came with a few, somewhat minor issues. We couldn’t enjoy walks due to other people and dogs, she was food aggressive with our other dog. She was easily over excited, would become very stressed out, and listening skills would go out the window. After just the first at home session, I started to see huge improvements. I believe I did a total of 5 sessions and Luna is a completely different dog. My dogs eat together, shares bones, walks are fun again, her attention is redirected to myself with a command, and this is all thanks to Ashley. I knew the basics of training a dog before I met Ashley, but she definitely made it a more fun, and rewarding experience."
